In keeping with this idea, founders Kurt Leege and Paul Pouthier have hand crafted a studio whose sound is unparalleled among small studios in New York. Our live room captures everything from the subtlety of a whisper to the bombast of drums. Our control room is stacked with top-line gear including a Midas Board, Pro Tools TDM, and DeVore Fidelity Monitors. Our mic complement is unrivaled by similar sized studios including an assortment of Neumann's, AKG's, and Shure's. We also have a top-line location sound package that features Nagra, Fostex, Sennheiser and Neumann gear.

More importantly, Lucid Production has always had the philosophy that one's gear is only as good as the person using it. Both Kurt and Paul bring solid engineering, production, musical and creative experience to the table. As veterans of all aspects of the sound engineering industry across the country for ten years, from live sound to audio post-production on films, from performance to composing, we understand sound as it needs to be in any medium.

But the bottom line is price. Unlike the big studios out there, we have sliding scales to accommodate all budgets. We won't overcharge you because there are a series of middlemen between your needs and our services. We own this business and we do the work. We can offer our clients the leanest of rates because we do it ourselves. Our business is sound and music and nothing else.
