Album Mastering

For album mastering we do all the things one would do during a basic mastering session, but also keep an eye on the album as a whole - i.e. consistent 'sound' and levels as one moves from track to track. There are further things that can be accomplished in this process as well: cross fades between songs, song spacing on the finished CD, special equalization or other effects applied over sections of songs [i.e. making the intro to a song sound like it's coming out of a megaphone or a telephone]. These special requests will be charged on top of the base price depending on their complexity. In general, mastering an album is a more intensive project as it involves decisions about the product as a whole that one doesn't face when mastering individual tracks.
